Choosing your care home is as important as moving house.  This is where you are going to make your home and we want you to love where you live.  We can provide a welcoming, homely environment with individual, professional and expert care from an established team.

Our standard care package includes 24-hour care with personalised assistance.  We will work with you to assess your needs and agree the support you require.  Ensuring your room and the rest of the home is clean and tidy is all part of daily life here at The Abbey.  Subject to availability we can offer you a short stay option for rest and rehabilitation  or you can just spend the day with us. We provide packages tailored to meet individual requirements be it on a regular or one-off basis.

You can take full advantage of all the facilities and services offered. All meals are freshly prepared in our kitchen using local produce. We understand the importance of mealtimes, therefore, menus are compiled by both cooks and residents.  Light snacks and beverages are offered and served at any time.

Community and wellbeing are important and we encourage our residents to join in with our many activities but the choice is yours.  Our activities include yoga, therapy animals, Holy Communion, live entertainment, visits from local children, various themed nights and trips out.

In addition, independent chargeable services  are offered which include visits from the local hairdresser, beauty therapist, chiropodist and many others.

Don’t just read about us, come and look around.

"I first came to The Abbey in 2023 for work placement as part of my college course. The staff and residents were so welcoming that I decided to stay on and work here during my gap year. I am having the most amazing time here, both the staff and residents feel like family. I have learnt so much and am confident that all the knowledge I have gained will help me on my paramedic science degree.
